Make them blue. With rare exception people don't like the mods Anet--why not cater to the people who are actually playing your game and let us change them.

Hmm blue is already used in the game. Not like this but still. Why not make them red for shinigblade and orange for white mantle.(if there are of course factions where you can also choose the side of the mantle)

Hopefully they do end up reverting all of the greens, even the ones that are still modifiable...

Just so I can laugh at the morons paying 50e+ for them

@aspi, Red is used for PvP weapons. I'm thinking blue like the text on this. Sort of an electric color. Doesn't matter what they do really it would just be nice to change the mods on these especially the more desirable skins.

I hate to admit it, but Killed is technically right. If we follow the past guidelines for what is acceptable to trade in-game, then not only can people who mod these items be banned, but the people who buy them could be banned as well.

It's "technically" exploiting a bug, and people have been banned in-game for trading exploited items......

Any word from A-net on fixing the greens prior to the update? Oh, and does that trick with the "captured" quest really work? Or is that just an guess?

I really wish MMO companies would stop punishing players for their shoddy programming.

Given the way they treated the Sorrow's Furnace greens that'd previously been found after tweaking a few stats on some, I would say that it's probably a safe bet that they'll be going back through all the weapons that have already spawned and eventually changing them to match. But if I recall correctly, it took a loooong time before they did so. RIP rockmolder

edit-
The update was July 2006, here is the relevant text: "Reduced the chance to halve skill recharge time from 20% to 10% on Rockmolders dropped prior to the item being corrected."

That would be the precedent I was referring to.

Few comments:

~Don't think there was a "Captured Trick".....just an satirical idea from 1 person.

~Some ppl will try anything to bring others down, once they have been brought down. I.E. I got banned so I'm going to try and get everyone else banned for anything I can think of. (Rather sad IMO)

~Mind wrack is not really the problem, the conjunction w/ other skills is. Seems most simply do not like that they now have to think more bout changing weap sets.

~Mesmers being the preferred bot and with the new buff to mesmers has the PvP community crying foul. Would there be the same concern if the 2 were not intertwined?

~Having a Bounty in HM reward 1/3 of what a NM Courier run does not make sense.

@ Essence,

I don't want to get anyone banned. My posts are satirical only. I'm just trying to point at the redicilous double standard NCSoft/Anet keeps upholding which eventually got the better of me.

In the end, we just have to gues what is allowed and what is not. (ban-able) This is not how it should be. Either you enforce your rules, or you don't.

Otherwise, wiki has a nice page for it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discrimination

And Anet/NCSoft deserves all the bad PR they can get. Discrimination is not something that should be promoted by a major company.

Hence: Either you ban the exploiters and uphold you previously set standard. Or you don't and commit yet another act of discrimination.

That would be a great tagline for Guild Wars 2: "It is not fair, nor will it ever be"

Guess we know why splitting skills is a bad idea from a maintenance point of view. Apparantly everytime there's a split or unsplit of skills all (PvP) henchies need to be adjusted.

anybody else notice that tease is bugged?
or at least i think they didnt intend it to be this way.

Here is what the skill description says:

Elite Spell. If target foe is using a skill, that foe and other foes in the area are interrupted and you steal 0...4...5 Energy from all foes in the area.

Concise:
Elite Spell. Interrupts a skill. Interruption effect: also interrupts other foes in the area, and you steal 0...4...5 Energy from all foes in the area

But here's what it actually does:

Elite Spell. If target foe is using a skill, that foe and other foes in the area are interrupted and you steal 0...4...5 Energy from all foes in the area for each for interrupted.

this means if you interrupt two skills with tease, you steal 8 energy from them all.

i was testing this out in pve, and in mobs of 2 or 3, i was seeing like 6 +4 energy things.

I don't see a reason to ban people over this. They just need to fix the bug and revert all the weapons to their original state.

The idiots that paid stupid amounts of ecto for the modded weapons will probably shed a few tears, but whatever. That's what they get for buying weapons that were obviously broken.
